The 2010 Jaguar XFR

Jaguar today announced pricing for its 2010 Model Year line up. In January 2009, Jaguar revealed the new 2010 Model Year XF and XK which includes the new XFR, and next generation XKR. Both vehicles are true to the heritage of Jaguar’s legendary performance, delivering a superb balance of dynamic ability and refinement.
The 2010 XF will be priced starting at $52,000 MSRP. The XF Premium, with the new 5.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, will have a base MSRP of $57,000. The new XFR with the 510hp supercharged engine will retail for $80,000 MSRP. Also, taking the details that define luxury to higher standards, the 2010 XF Premium offers a Portfolio Pack for an additional $4,000. The Portfolio Pack offers the most luxurious XF specification, and features the naturally aspirated version of the new 5.0-liter V8.
As for the 2010 XK line up, it will start with a base MSRP of $83,000 (Coupe) and $89,000 (Convertible). The XKR with its 510 horsepower engine will retail for $96,000 (Coupe) MSRP and $102,000 (Convertible) MSRP.
But it is the new powertrain options that are at the heart of the changes for 2010 Model Year. The new AJ-V8 GEN III direct-injection 5.0-liter engines are the most advanced engines Jaguar has ever produced, each offering significant increases in performance and impressive fuel economy. Both deliver more torque and power than the previous generation of engines.
The 2010 Model Year XF and XK models combine effortless high-performance and state-of-the-art powertrains with a new level of advanced technologies, intuitive control and Jaguar’s superbly crafted, new-fashioned luxury interiors. In addition, both models include a number of standard luxury features including navigation, heated front seats and satellite radio. Contemporary, individual and beautifully crafted, the XF has the soul of a sports car, the style and sophistication of a luxury four-door sedan, and the visual excitement of a coupe.

Rusnak/Arcadia Mercedes-Benz Customer Care Event

On June 13th Rusnak/Arcadia Mercedes-Benz Service and Sales Departments hosted a customer care event. Service provided free vehicle inspections while Sales focused on reintroducing customers to the many features of their new Mercedes-Benz. It proved how successful our dealership can be when departments work together to offer our customers an example of the Rusnak Standard.

Close to 80 customers attended this festive well organized event and were treated to pastries, fresh juices and complementary smoothies while visiting the various information booths.
Individual booths demonstrated in vehicle telematic features, finance, collision repair, and vehicle maintenance. A display of the new 2010 E class coupe and sedan was front and center.

Rusnak Audi Westlake Presents the
2009 Robin Hood Golf Tournament

Rusnak Audi Westlake was excited to be a sponsor of the 2009 Robin Hood Golf Tournament at the Sherwood Country Club on May 28th-30th. Participants, enjoyed some fabulous tee prizes, food, beverages, and entertainment. On Thursday night, May 28th, guests enjoyed Scotch tasting with Balvenie complimented by hand-rolled cigars, courtesy of Albert Chrikjian at the Cigar & Wine Co. A “Skills Competition” also took place during the first evening, and everyone was strongly encouraged to participate. During matches on Friday and Saturday, lunch food stations on course at the 7th and 14th greens complimented our clubhouse fare, providing a varied culinary experience for all. Participants had the opportunity to win an Audi and other prizes. Our cigar-roller made a return visit, located in the breezeway between the Pro Shop and Cart Barn. Our Saturday night Awards Dinner featured formal Wine Tasting during cocktail hour, live entertainment and dancing, and great gifts for spouses and guests.

Rusnak Pasadena Porsche Service Clinic

On Saturday, June 20th, Rusnak Pasadena Porsche held a Service Clinic and had a great turnout. Rusnak Porsche Technicians performed inspections on 50 vehicles ranging from model year 1981 to 2009. There were both sports cars and SUV’s and all involved not only had a great time but all clients involved learned something as well! Each client was greeted in the service drive by a service advisor, a repair order was written, and then the client was introduced to a Porsche technician. The technician brought the client’s vehicle into the shop, placed it on a vehicle hoist and then went back to the service advisor’s office to retrieve the customer. The technician would walk the customer through a roughly 30 point inspection of the vehicle while explaining the importance of maintaining the vehicle properly and in a timely manner. Each inspection was slated for 30 minutes but since the clients were enjoying the inspection so much they were averaging about 45 minutes each.

The clients really enjoyed the hands on portion of the event. There was one client that had been driving for over 30 years and had never seen the underside of the vehicle. She said “this is so interesting; I have never really understood some things about my car until now. This is so neat.” Another client said “I didn’t really realize how cool my car really is until now. It has always been fun to drive but the way it is built is just awesome!”
While waiting for their turn for their vehicle inspection or after their vehicle inspection our clients enjoyed a catered lunch provided by The Scarlett Tea Room. Many attendees remarked that the food was absolutely delicious and they couldn’t believe that we had provided such a nice array of food for this event.

Fall In Love Fashion Show

On Friday, June 26, Rusnak Audi Pasadena hosted a VIP event “Fall in Love Fashion Show and Live Auction” benefiting AIDS Service Center featuring designer, Ximena Valero at the private residence of Michael Schlueter & Damon Dennis in Eagle Rock.

Receiver of 2007 Miami Fashion Week's Excellence in Evening Wear Award, is just one of the many prestigious accomplishments this young exquisite designer has received. Well deserving of the title, International Designer, she has traveled around the world from Mexico to Tokyo, Miami, Chicago, Asuncion in Paraguay, St. Kitts in the Caribbean and New York presenting her collection season after season.

Deeply rooted in her Latin roots, Mexico City born Ximena Valero specializes in “designing for women who are not afraid to reveal her femininity” and with the use of bold and eccentric colors, vibrant prints and racy silhouettes. “My inspiration comes from an instinctual connection I receive from the touch of the fabric. I don't control the design, I all my emotions to take over and let my creatively flow.”

Success quickly followed studying at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. In 1997, Ximena began designing and sold an entire collection to Diva’s Boutique in San Diego. Later she was approached by Auto-cannon for which she was selected to design a sportswear line titled Racerette. Racerette was sold in Macy’s and Bloomingdales.

Today, Ximena Valero label has expanded to a full, comprehensive line of sportswear: dresses, swimwear, and accessories. Her collection is currently sold in exclusive boutiques locally and worldwide.

The fashion show also featured sexy and fun furs from Edwards-Lowell Furs of Beverly Hills. Guests mingled over champagne and hors d’oevres provided by Karoun Restaurant in Glendale. They shopped the designer’s clothing and magnificent fine jewelry from Simolar and Over the Top Gifts. Live auction items from world-renown glass sculpture, Stephen Schlanzer: Schlanzer Designs, 2009 Simalor Collection diamond ribbon ring, vacation packages to Puerto Vallarta and Mammoth, Edwards-Lowell Furs of Beverly Hills auctioned a stunning fur coat to benefit Aids Service Center.
Anthony Guthmiller, Director of Annual Giving ASC and Michael Bradford, General Manager Rusnak Audi, welcomed the guests as beautiful 2009 Audis purred on the sidewalk. The 150 guests raised over $10,000 for AIDS Service Center.

Dear Liz,

The Fathers Club Mixer was tremendously successful again this year thanks to the efforts of Dennis Lowe and many volunteer dads.  Much appreciation goes to Shelly and Dennis for hosting this event for the past four years!
